To all members

Japanese Association of Medical Technologists
President Shigeaki Ozaki

This time, I have been inaugurated as President for the fiscal year of 2004 and 2005 as a successor of Mr. Susumu Iwata, the past president of the association.
Although our surrounding environment in which medical reform and de-regulation being progressed is not bright, we intend to gather all of our directorsf knowledge and wisdom to meet our membersf expectations. Especially, regarding the amendments of law concerning the medical technologists, I have been involved in dealing with this task under the past president, Mr. Susumu Iwata for past six years. I intend to take a responsibility to do my best to progress the activities of amendments of law.

As for the Scientific department of JAMT, in the last fiscal year we have reformed the organization of the department of examination and research to improve the quality of medical technologists, and we intend to accelerate the speed to manage the scientific activity smoothly. In addition, HCV examination, which has been started first in the data-sharing project, is important for patients to realize data-sharing because of practice of cooperation between a hospital and a hospital, and cooperation between a hospital and a clinic. We need to deal with it as an important problem to take the most of limited resources. Besides, we need to develop the quality control positively program, a system of qualified medical technologists in the new fields and the promotion of medical safety measure.

We, as a corporation, also think it important for the nation to know the medical science and the medical technologists by strengthening cooperation between prefectural association and Japanese Association of Medical Technologists to participate positively in provincial public health enterprise than ever before.

I deeply appreciate guidance and support from our membersf hereinafter, and I would like to give an inaugural address by cooperating with all our directors to complete my duty to confirm what the medical technologists ought to be in the future and what the right direction of medical reform aims at.
